17³Ô¹ÏWELCOMES INDA OMEREFENDIC

Interim Publications and Fulfillment Manager
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]This September, Inda Omerefendic joined the full-time staff of 17³Ô¹Ïas the Interim Publications and Fulfillment Manager.  Inda will be stepping in for Kevin Cooney, who is moving on to a Membership Coordinator position at WERS, a local radio station in Boston, after working at 17³Ô¹Ïfor seven years. Inda will become the primary office contact for support of ASOR’s publications, membership and subscription services, and fulfillment needs.  Her e-mail address is publications@asor.org and she can be reached by phone at (617) 358-4376.

Inda recently graduated from Boston University with a B.A. in Environmental Analysis and Policy and has worked at 17³Ô¹Ïas a student since 2010.  Her mother is Selma Omerefendic, ASOR’s Financial Administrator, and she has grown up with 17³Ô¹Ïas a part of her life. Inda has enjoyed traveling with her family since she was young, recently visiting Egypt and Jordan, some of her favorite sites being Petra in Jordan and the Valley of the Kings in Egypt. While visiting Petra, she was fortunate enough to visit Brown University’s excavation site (see photo).

Inda has enjoyed living close to Boston her whole life and traveling every summer to visit her family in Bosnia.  She is excited about taking on more responsibility at 17³Ô¹Ïin this new position and working closely with the digital media specialist to increase outreach to those interested in archaeology and historical discovery.
