ASORÂ SEEKS VOLUNTEERS FORÂ HONORS & AWARDS COMMITTEE
The Honors and Awards Committee is an 17³Ô¹Ïstanding committee with a three-year opening for one new member. 17³Ô¹Ïinvites nominations, including self-nominations, from 17³Ô¹Ïmembers who are interested in being considered by the committee for this opening.
The Honors and Awards Committee is currently chaired by Laura Mazow. The 17³Ô¹ÏBylaws state: This committee [Honors and Awards] will oversee all 17³Ô¹Ïhonors. As the name suggests, this committee oversees ASOR’s efforts to recognize and reward individuals who have demonstrated notable service to the organization, as well as those who have produced exceptional recent scholarship (books and posters).
To ensure balanced representation of different sub-fields within the committee, preference will be given to individuals who complement the committee makeup.
