MEMBERSHIP AND OUTREACH COMMITTEE SEEKS NEW MEMBERS

Interesting in serving on an 17³Ô¹ÏCommittee? ASOR’s Committee on Membership and Outreach is seeking new members!

The Committee on Membership and Outreach takes responsibility for discussing matters regarding 17³Ô¹Ïinstitutional and individual memberships, including (but not limited to) strategies for membership growth, appropriate membership benefits, the most fitting way to categorize individual memberships (student, recent graduate, etc.), greater enfranchisement of ASOR’s international members, and resources that members might like 17³Ô¹Ïto provide. The committee also oversees ASOR’s outreach efforts. These include, preeminently, the Friends of 17³Ô¹Ïprogram (a program for individuals who share 17³Ô¹Ïmembers’ interest in the archaeology and history of the Near East and wider Mediterranean but who are not themselves members). In addition, it advises the 17³Ô¹Ïstaff about the presentation and content of several of ASOR’s digital platforms, including the 17³Ô¹ÏFacebook page, the 17³Ô¹ÏTwitter account, the 17³Ô¹ÏLinkedIn page, ASORTv, and ASOR’s e-magazine News@ASOR.Ìý

Those interested in serving on the Membership and Outreach Committee should email the incoming Chair, Teddy Burgh, by January 31, 2020.
